Mountain Tales: Unearthing Chiang Rai’s Rich Natural Heritage

Chiang Rai, located in northern of Thailand, offers several beautiful mountains to explore. Here are some notable mountains in Chiang Rai.

Phu Chi Fa: Phu Chi Fa is a popular mountain known for its stunning sunrise views. Located near the border with Laos, it offers breathtaking panoramas of mist-covered valleys and neighboring mountains. Many visitors hike up early in the morning to witness the sunrise spectacle.

Doi Tung: Doi Tung is a mountain located within the Doi Tung Development Project area. It is famous for its royal villa, Doi Tung Palace, which was the very first palace of Princess Srinagarindra, the royal mother of King Bhumibol.
