Through beautiful antiques such as opium harvesting knives, scales, weights, pipes, mats and pillows, these tools represent the beliefs, cultures, traditions and magnificent imagination of their Burmese, Shan, Chinese and tribal inventors in Thailand as well as the history of the region where the three countries meet. Then, enjoy an hour ride on the boat along Mekhong River to visit the riverbank scenery. Proceed by car to to Chiang Saen is a charming town on the Mekong River. The Chiang Saen ancient city consists of temple ruins, old city walls and a moat. Lunch at the local restaurant. Continue by minibus along the Mekong River to visit Ban Had Pai, a Tai Lue weaving village. The next visit is Baan Kiew Karn, a village of White Hmong located on a hilltop.
